WAFC Media Statement

Friday, August 14, 2015 - 2:52 PM
The West Australian Football Commission greatly appreciates the show of support from the eight WAFL clubs that have united in an effort to resolve the issue of West Perth games not being televised on the 7 Network. The WAFL Council of Presidents, comprising all Presidents of the 9 WAFL clubs, advised the WAFC throughout its negotiations with potential broadcast partners that the broadcast of the WAFL competition was a top priority. As such, it is critical for the competition that the successful broadcast partnership with the 7 Network continues. A key part of achieving this goal is to ensure that any 2015 WAFL Finals featuring West Perth Football Club can be broadcast on the 7 Network. Read More ...

Thursday, August 6, 2015 - 9:21 PM - by Chris Pike
MARCUS Adams' stunning form this season in the back-line for West Perth has the 22-year-old being talked about as a potential first round AFL draft pick later this year, but his focus remains on achieving success with the Falcons before worrying about that. Adams was always a promising youngster coming through the ranks at Swan Districts and impressed on debut as an 18-year-old in 2011, but with his older brother Luke's battle back to full health and other things in life, football took a backseat and he left the WAFL system for two years. West Perth was then able to lure him back into the fold ahead of the 2014 season and the result was a terrific year for the strong, quick and talented powerhouse. Read More ...
